The dry, distant, dying town of Dos Hermanos, California haunted me for years. I’m usually a pretty fast storyteller; I rewrite, of course, like every writer shoud/does, but I’ve been doing this for so long I don’t ten to put pixel to screen (as opposed to pen to paper) until well into the third or fourth draft, so once it starts, it ends pretty quick.
